Needs Support

I use many strategies to support children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs. These include modelling, building on what they say, giving them sentence starters, match my language to the child's level, breaking instructions into chunks, use visual supports, plan my questions, give children thinking time, gain their full attention, teach new vocabulary, etc.

I have over a decade of experience teaching Functional Skills Mathematics and English at Levels 1 and 2, helping young people successfully prepare for and pass their exams in these subjects.
